Speech Act of Criticism in Kurdish: A Pragmatic Study

Speech acts composes a big part of language; it is one the bases pragmatics, can be defined as use language to make things happen in world. The aim study investigate strategies speech act criticism Kurdish. One hundred twenty undergraduate native Kurdish speaking students were selected sample for study. different majors, sexes and social classes. Discourse Completion Test (DCT) approach adopted collecting data which has 10 scenarios. test been carried out at Salahaddin Koya universities. After collection, criticizing have classified terms Nguyen 2005 model. results investigation show that Kurds would rather employ indirect than direct give criticism.
